Portrait Professional Studio – an initial review

After being asked to do 20 headshots for a professional business networking group, I decided to get Portrait Professional Studio (PPS) and give it a try for retouching the subjects.  Rather than relying on using Photoshop, with different layers and brushes, to retouch each photo, PPS asks you to click on various parts of the face of each subject, then after you refine the selections, uses its proprietary algorithms to identify facial features and skin, then automatically removes blemishes, wrinkles, and other imperfections.  After showing you the results of the computer-generated changes, you can alter the output with a number of different sliders that control the effects.  So far, I’m very impressed with the program – after using it for only 10 minutes, I was able to retouch a portrait in 2-5 minutes (depending on how much I altered the sliders) MAX.  The effects were amazing, and hopefully, my clients were as happy with the results as I was.  I will definitely continue to use this program – after all, happy clients are the best clients!
