March 2015 InSide the Back Mountain Cover
For the March issue, we photographed Dr. Penny Mericle and Dr. Samantha Abod at their practice, Brace Place. It’s a great facility specializing in orthodontics, and it’s a long way from the old building Dr. Mericle started in. Both doctors were great about having their photos taken, and even arranged for 2 of their patients (siblings) to be there for the shoot so we could get some “action” photos. When I saw a room that had one bright yellow wall, and saw that they had both coincidentally chosen to wear magenta tops, I knew I had to shoot them there. What color-loving geeky photographer wouldn’t? It worked out great to put them in the corner so one was in front of the yellow and one was in front of white to make an interesting graphical line and cut down on the yellow in the picture. Boom, there’s your cover! I love it when a plan comes together…
